Adaptation
The place where a plant or animal lives is called a habitat. Each habitat has different conditions of light, heat, water and food. Animals adapt to these special conditions over time which allow them to live, in some cases, in extreme environments
. Fish have adapted to their watery environment by having fins for movement and gills for respiration. Camels have adapted to their dry environment by carrying fat in humps
on their backs.
